Watch: Bill Murray tries to bribe umpires at minor-league game
Reuters
Bill Murray was trying to put his money to good use on Thursday.
The "Ghostbusters" actor, who is a known Chicago Cubs fan, tried to bribe umpires at a Single-A game between the Charleston RiverDogs and Lexington Legends during Charleston's Opening Day.
Murray - who is part owner of the RiverDogs, an affiliate of the New York Yankees - had his attempted payoff declined, which could have potentially helped his team, which instead lost 6-3 in the contest.
Maybe next time, Bill.
