Former Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy is recovering from yet another surgery on his injured right knee.

The veteran posted an Instagram story Wednesday in which he showed off a full-length knee brace with the caption "'your knee is fine,' they said," according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein.

Levy seems to be implying the Lions pushed him to play before he was ready.

The 30-year-old appeared in five games last season after playing only one the year prior. He now says that was a mistake. He played in the 2016 season opener, then missed the next 11 games.

"Still had the same issues emerge in March as from December/January," Levy told ESPN. "Turns out there was a little more damage than I was being told and there's no way I should've been back on the field last year."

The Lions cut Levy in early March.
