Klopp sets Liverpool record with another Merseyside derby triumph

Jurgen Klopp became the first Liverpool bench boss to vanquish Everton in his first three Premier League editions of the Merseyside derby, the ebullient German gaffer setting that mark by virtue of a 3-1 win on Saturday at Anfield.

Klopp watched on as Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, and Divock Origi delivered the three points for the Reds, moving them provisionally into a tie with Tottenham for second place in the table.

Considering some of the venerable managers to walk the touchline at Anfield, it's somewhat surprising that Klopp is the first to accomplish the feat.

Regardless, it gives the former Borussia Dortmund coach, who has come under some criticism this season, a nice notch in the belt.
