On Wednesday, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas shared his recruitment letter from Oregon, received during his senior year of high school. Then on Thursday, he followed that up with another recruitment letter - this one from Gonzaga ahead of his junior year in 1980.

Bilas ultimately signed with Duke, and reached the national championship game as a senior in 1986.

What's interesting about Gonzaga, though, is that Bilas would have played with future Hall of Famer John Stockton for two seasons, as the latter played for the Bulldogs from 1980-84.

Even with Stockton, however, the Zags never made the NCAA tournament, finally cracking the field 11 years after he left.

Perhaps the Bilas-Stockton combo could have made it happen sooner.
