Mourinho rules out 'absurd' Neymar move

Manchester United may be in the market for a few more star names in the summer transfer window, but Neymar won't be one of them, according to club manager Jose Mourinho.

As one of three crown jewels in the Barcelona attacking triumvirate, Neymar is considered among the world's elite footballers, boasting 14 goals and 23 assists over 35 matches in all competitions this season.

The Red Devils have recently been linked to a move for the Brazil icon, with Spanish outlet Sport reporting United is willing to "go all out" in an effort to secure Neymar's services.

But Mourinho is having none of it, labeling the move "impossible."

"It's speculation," Mourinho told ESPN, of reports linking his club to Neymar. "I always try to be objective and pragmatic with clubs and to ask them what they can give me. To ask for Neymar is absurd.

"A club like Barcelona can not and will not lose Neymar. Although Messi is still a young player with years ahead of him, he's almost 30, and Neymar will be the great player of Barcelona post-Messi. So much that I think it is like trying to break into a safe, impossible."
