Bob Donnan / USA TODAY Sports
Seattle has pegged Eastern Washington head coach Jim Hayford as the Redhawks' new head man, a source told Gary Parrish of CBS Sports.
Hayford has coached the Eagles for the last six seasons, going to the NCAA tournament in 2015.
Prior to Eastern Washington, Hayford was head coach of Division III Whitworth from 2001-11. He made six tournaments, reaching the Sweet 16 three times and Elite Eight once.
Seattle currently has the fifth-longest NCAA tournament drought, spanning 47 years.
