Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula has spoken out against recent rumors of dysfunction in the team's front office.

The Buffalo News' Jerry Sullivan reported Saturday that Bills general manager Doug Whaley has been stripped of power within the organization, which Sullivan said is now being directed by new head coach Sean McDermott.

Whaley could soon be fired, Sullivan speculated, and suggested the Bills might be hoping he quits.

Pegula dismissed the notion Tuesday, declaring that Whaley and McDermott get along well.

"We just spent the afternoon working together, the three of us," Pegula said, according to the team's website. "Those guys get along great. They've been making some key decisions and they work well together."

Pegula suggested the Bills' decision to retain quarterback Tyrod Taylor supports the notion the team is functioning smoothly.

"That was Doug and Sean working very diligently, digging up every direction we could go and what not, and the decision was unanimous that we bring Tyrod back with the new contract," Pegula said. "We are all happy with that."
