Messi received a four-match suspension Tuesday from FIFA for his verbally abusive language during Argentina's recent World Cup qualifying match against Chile, ESPN reports.

Messi also was fined 10,000 Swiss francs by FIFA as well, but more importantly, he will miss upcoming CONMEBOL matches against Colombia, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Peru, but will again be eligible to play for Argentina on Oct. 9 against Ecuador.
