Miami adds to banner day by landing 4-star S Gurvan Hall
Monday has been a very productive recruiting day for Mark Richt, as the Miami head coach added a commitment from four-star safety Gurvan Hall for the class of 2018.
Hall's decision to commit to the Hurricanes comes just hours after the program landed four-star receiver Mark Pope.
The 5-foot-11, 173-pounder is ranked as the 17th-best safety in the class of 2018 and is listed as the 222nd-best prospect overall on the ESPN 300.
The West Palm Beach native represents another local recruit choosing to stay close to home, something Richt promised he would deliver when hired prior to the 2016 season.
Hall held offers from a number of Power 5 programs including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and Ohio State, but ultimately decided to remain in South Florida with the Hurricanes.
