Cal is set to lose its top commit from the class of 2017, as four-star shooting guard Jemarl Baker told Josh Gershon of Scout.com that he's asked the school for his release.

Baker committed to the Golden Bears and Cuonzo Martin as a sophomore in high school, but with the head coach leaving the program to go to Missouri, the California native has changed his mind about attending the school.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder is ranked as the 19th-best shooting guard in the class of 2017, and is listed as the 65th-best overall prospect on the ESPN 100.

Baker's decision to ask Cal for his release leaves the Golden Bears with no prospects on the ESPN 100, should they honor his request and allow him to leave the program.
