Houston Rockets power forward Ryan Anderson is expected to miss about two weeks with a sprained right ankle, Houston coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters Sunday.

Anderson hurt the ankle Friday when he stepped on DeMarcus Cousins' foot in a win over the Pelicans. Cousins later accused Anderson of employing flop tactics in the matchup.

The Rockets' hope is that Anderson will be able to return to get some games in before the playoffs, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins. In 68 games as Houston's starter at the four this season, Anderson has averaged 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds on 39.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

He's a key part of what the Rockets do offensively, and his absence, in theory, would give more minutes to Montrezl Harrell. However, D'Antoni opted to go smaller Sunday by inserting Eric Gordon into the starting lineup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Watkins also reported that Sam Dekker and Lou Williams will see more minutes.
