Watson: Got a problem with Suns letting Booker be great? 'Do something'

What's left of Earl Watson's 2016-17 Phoenix Suns is an incredibly young mix of players closing out the remainder of the season on a surefire lottery team. So when one of Phoenix's youngsters is in a position to make history, Watson isn't going to apologize for helping them do it.

In the aftermath of Devin Booker's historic 70-point performance against Boston on Friday, Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas seemed to take exception with the Suns' late-game strategy in a blowout loss, calling it "weird" that the Suns would help Booker chase numbers. Thomas also made a point of saying he can't blame the players for their actions - an apparent shot at Watson, who responded in kind.

"It's about letting our kids be great," he said. "You got a problem with that? Do something. Simple as that."

Booker had a somewhat similar message for Celtics forward Jae Crowder.
