Woodland withdraws from WGC-Match Play

One day after Jason Day pulled out of the WGC-Match Play to be with his ailing mother, Gary Woodland withdrew from the event citing personal reasons.
Agent Mark Steinberg released a statement about Woodland's decision:

Woodland, who won his opening game against Emiliano Grillo, conceded his Group 2 match to Rory McIlory Thursday.
With Soren Kjeldsen beating McIlroy on Wednesday, the Dane only needs to halve his Thursday match with Grillo to win the group and advance to the Round of 16
