A number of former NFL players are scheduled to be in action when the Spring League kicks off next month.

Among those officially committed to play are Greg Hardy, Kellen Winslow Jr., Brandon Browner, and Ben Tate, according to a press release obtained by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The Spring League, as outlined on its official website, aims to serve as an instructional and development opportunity for professional football talent.

Based at The Greenbrier Resort, the league will play six games between April 15 and April 26.

Participating players will presumably look to parlay a strong performance in the live football environment into an opportunity in either the NFL or CFL.
