BIG3 reaches TV deal with FOX Sports
Everything's coming together for the BIG3.
Rapper Ice Cube announced Wednesday that his new three-on-three league for hoopers over 30 has partnered with FOX Sports.
"This is a big day for the BIG3," Ice Cube said on FS1's "Skip and Shannon: Undisputed."
"We are very excited … we've been waiting for this day. It's extremely exciting to be here with FOX Sports. They definitely see the picture and see the great things we are trying to do."
The BIG3 will feature eight teams with five players each. Former NBA stars Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Rashard Lewis, and Jermaine O'Neal are among those who will suit up, while Julius Erving and Charles Oakley highlight the coaching lineup.
The league will kick off its inaugural season June 25 at Barclays Center.
