David Ross is replacing his cleats with dancing shoes Monday night, and the Chicago Cubs will be glued to the television.

The recently retired Ross will make his debut Monday on "Dancing with The Stars" with partner Lindsay Arnold, and members of the Cubs plan to gather at Miguel Montero's house to watch together.

"I’m proud of him for what he’s doing," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said, according to Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune. "I think it’s great. Whenever you step outside that zone and expose yourself, I think it’s awesome."

The 40-year-old Ross and Arnold enter with the event's worst odds at 30/1, according to Covers.com.

"I am the first baseball player (on "Dancing with The Stars"), which is really, really cool and scary in the same breath," Ross told Us Weekly last week.
