Clemson received some good news Friday night, as it secured a commitment from one of the most coveted prospects in the 2018 class.

Four-star defensive end Justin Mascoll declared his intention to join the Tigers, giving Dabo Swinney and Co. the No. 14 ranked player on the ESPN 300.

"I picked Clemson because I love the feel there and it felt like home," Mascoll told Gerry Hamilton of ESPN. "I trust the coaches and the people in the Clemson community, and I feel it's the best fit for me and my family."

Fresh off a national title, Clemson is quickly stockpiling a solid recruiting class. With the addition of Mascoll, the Tigers now have five members of the ESPN 300 for 2018.

Mascoll also had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee, Notre Dame, as well as several other Power 5 programs.
