Here is a look at the Squad Up daily NBA fantasy picture for Friday, March 17:

Dynamic Duos

  • SG Avery Bradley (55K) & PG Marcus Smart (41K), Celtics (at Nets): Isaiah Thomas is out this weekend, so most of the scoring and playmaking burden will fall to Bradley and Smart. Not only do you get their scoring upside -- their season highs are 31 and 22 points, respectively -- but both also rate as well-above average defenders, capable of racking up the steals and pushing their fantasy line into sub-elite territory.
  • PF Anthony Davis (97K) & PG Jrue Holiday (67K), Pelicans (vs, Rockets): The five priciest PGs listed on Friday's slate include two players who are 100 percent ruled out (Thomas and Eric Bledsoe) and another that could also sit (John Wall). Holiday at 67K is incredible value given how weak this slate is at PG. Pairing him with Davis cements both of their floors. Even if DeMarcus Cousins has a big game, both will benefit.
  • SF Jimmy Butler (84K) & PG Rajon Rondo (57K), Bulls (at Wizards): Butler and Rondo make for an awkward marriage, but without the now-injured Dwyane Wade serving as a conduit, the two will have to play together more often. The Bulls are still just a game back from the playoffs in the East, and while shutting down Wade can be seen as an indication of a shift to tank mode, Butler still has enough pride to fight.

Bargain Plays

  • PG Brandon Jennings (25K), Wizards (vs. Bulls): With Wall listed as questionable, any reduced workload for the Wizards' superstar will pay big dividends for Jennings. While he's only averaging two points in less than 14 minutes a game since joining Washington, he's also managed 4.4 assists per outing. With a starter's workload, 15-2-7 is within reach.
  • SG Justin Anderson (25K), 76ers (vs. Mavericks): With a game against the team that traded him a month ago, it wouldn't be a shock to see Anderson receive extended run on Friday. His playing time and scoring has been incredibly inconsistent, but we've seen the young two-guard tally 19 points twice in the past seven games. He's a tournament play.
  • C Bismack Biyombo (25K), Magic (at Suns): With per-36 averages of 9.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game, Biyombo has shown what he can do with an increased workload. He has the physical tools to hang with a Suns team that likes to play fast and the relative inexperience of many of Phoenix's healthy players lends itself to increased block potential.

Top Fades

  • PG Jeremy Lin (62K), Nets (vs. Celtics): Lin was a lot more enticing when priced at 52K yesterday. On the second-half of a back-to-back against a team that has ranked seventh in defensive efficiency since the All-Star break, a price bump is cause for hesitation. He won't even enjoy the limited defensive presence that Isaiah Thomas would have brought.
  • C Alan Williams (59K), Suns (vs. Magic): As a 6-foot-8 small-ball center, Williams is already at a size disadvantage in most matchups. He needs to be able to use his athleticism to seal out would-be rebounders. The Magic are one of the teams that can bully the undersized Williams, throwing a combination of Biyombo, Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon at the second-year pro. If he has less than 10 rebounds, he's a bust.
  • SG Wayne Ellington (25K), Heat (vs. Timberwolves): Ellington is averaging a cool 15 points per game over his last eight outings and is priced right at the salary floor. What's not to like? Since the All-Star break, the Heat and T-Wolves have top-10 defenses and bottom-10 paces. It's going to be a grind-it-out affair, and other than points, Ellington provides almost few statistical contributions in fantasy.

Contrarian Options

  • PF Nerlens Noel (52K), Mavericks (at 76ers): Revenge game alert! Noel will make his first trip back to Philadelphia since being traded to Dallas last month. Though he missed three games in a row early this week, the Mavericks' new big is averaging 10-8-1 in just 24 minutes a game. If Rick Carlisle feeds his big, Noel could wind up with a big double-double.
  • SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (46K), Pistons (vs. Raptors): Caldwell-Pope has hit a rough patch, averaging just 8-2-1 over his past six games compared to 15-4-2 in the 17 games prior. The Pistons' wing is one of the biggest workhorses in the game, consistently logging big minute totals. Against a Raptors squad on the second half of a back-to-back, he could break out of his slump.
  • PF Ryan Anderson (39K), Rockets (at Pelicans): Anderson played just 15 minutes and missed all five of his shot attempts in his most recent outing, but there wasn't much of a need for a big man with a history of injuries to play in a 39-point blowout of the Lakers. Anderson's floor-spacing will be crucial in breaking the Pelicans' Davis-Cousins defense.
