Red-hot Spurs, Warriors meet in fourth-priciest game in San Antonio this decade

USA Today Sports

It’s a wild scene in the West, and the streaking Spurs and Warriors will make it even more interesting on Wednesday night.

The Spurs continue their homestand against the hottest team in the NBA as the Warriors bring an eight-game winning streak with them to San Antonio. Streaking has been on the Spurs’ agenda as well, winning their last five games and keeping the Warriors’ conference lead to just 2.5 games.

With the postseason two weeks away, it comes as no surprise that tonight’s game is generating big demand on the resale ticket market. In fact, according to search engine TicketIQ, it will be the fourth most expensive game between the teams at AT&T Center since at least 2010.

The average resale price for Spurs vs. Warriors tickets is $274. The cheapest tickets are listed from $47 each. While it won’t come close to rivaling a March 19, 2016 game ($857 average/$241 get-in), tonight’s game is the Spurs’ most expensive remaining regular-season home game this year.

Fans who held off on seeing the teams battle earlier this month will be rewarded, as tonight’s game will be significantly cheaper on average to attend. The March 11 game between the Spurs and Warriors at AT&T Center owned a $495 average, making tonight’s game 45 percent cheaper on average.
