George Washington is expected to offer the permanent head coaching position to interim coach Maurice Joseph, according to Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

Joseph was an assistant at George Washington from 2011-16, before being named interim head coach this season, after Mike Lonergan was fired over reports of verbal abuse and misconduct towards players.

The Colonials went 19-13 under Joseph and finished sixth in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Montreal native played at Michigan State from 2005-07, before transferring to Vermont to finish his career.
