The Los Angeles Chargers have released left tackle King Dunlap.
The move was expected after the Chargers signed free agent Russell Okung to a four-year, $53-million contract.
Dunlap started every game he played with the Chargers over the past four seasons. He signed with the team in 2013 and agreed to a four-year, $28-million extension in 2015.
He was scheduled to receive a roster bonus of $500,000 on March 18. His contract was also set to count $8.625 million against the cap.
