A statue of Arnold Palmer was unveiled Saturday morning at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando.

The 13-foot, 1,392-pound bronze statue was presented to the public during the annual breakfast held for the Arnold Palmer Invitational's 1,400 volunteers.

Mastercard, which has sponsored the tournament since 2004, handled all of the costs for production and installation of the statue.

The replica of "The King" will sit between the 1st and 10th tee boxes at the club.

"There will be no ropes or fences around this statue. It will be infinitely approachable, just like Mr. Palmer," tournament COO Marci Doyle told Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinel.

Prior to the unveiling, Mayor Teresa Jacobs announced that a portion of State Road 408 will be renamed the Arnold Palmer Expressway.
