A pair of veterans have been chosen to represent and assist their respective squads for the 2017 Presidents Cup.

Canadian Mike Weir will serve as an assistant captain for the International side, while Jim Furyk was named an assistant to the American team.

Weir will work under captain Nick Price, alongside fellow assistants Ernie Els, Tony Johnstone, and Geoff Ogilvy.

Furyk, meanwhile, joins USA captain Steve Stricker and assistants Fred Couples, Davis Love III, and Tiger Woods.

Weir has participated in four Presidents Cups throughout his career, while Furyk, who's also been chosen as the U.S. captain for the 2018 Ryder Cup, has participated in the event seven times as a player.

The tournament runs Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey.
