McAdoo: Giants 'will evaluate' signing Peterson
The New York Giants have been tagged as one of the possible landing spots for Adrian Peterson, and while head coach Ben McAdoo refused to give away his team's plans, he said they will look into signing the running back.
"We'll go take a look at him. We'll evaluate him. We'll get a grade on anyone who's available," McAdoo said Wednesday, according to James Kratch of NJ Advance Media. "And we'll make those situations in terms of what's best for the Giants moving forward."

The Minnesota Vikings opted not to exercise Peterson's contract option for the 2017 season, meaning he'll hit the open market for the first time in his career.
New York has an emerging player in Paul Perkins - who impressed during his rookie year last season - but the Giants were among the worst rushing teams in the league in 2016, and could look to take the pressure off Eli Manning by adding an established runner like Peterson.
