Rutgers will reportedly land the services of former Miami running back Gus Edwards, according to Brian Dohn of Scout.com.

"This gives Rutgers a dude," Edwards' high school coach Jim Munson said. "He's got a lot of running left in him. They didn't wear him out at Miami. He's still got a lot of carries left in that big body."

Edwards rushed for 290 yards and a touchdown in 2016, ranking third on the team. In his Miami career, Edwards finished with 977 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.

The New York native is expected to graduate in May from Miami and arrive at Rutgers in June and chose the Scarlet Knights over Oklahoma State.
