College world has fun with Oscars' Best Picture screw-up

In the event that someone missed what happened at the end of the 89th Oscars on Sunday night, "Moonlight" won Best Picture, but not before it was announced that "La La Land" was initially announced as winner.

This mistake made for a gold rush of memes to flood social media, including the college sports world.

Even the Oscars want Alabama, though Clemson would have something to say about that.

The SEC has been king of the college football world for many years, however, with Clemson and Florida State of the ACC winning two of the last four titles, there has been a power swing for who is the most dominant conference.

The analogies used were also priceless.

Also, keeping with wrong announcements, who could forget South Carolina being accidentally notified they had earned a berth into last year's March Madness.

The jokes were not limited just to the Best Picture gaffe.

Poor Texas.

The 89th edition of the Oscars did not fail to disappoint.
