In honor of the 89th Academy Awards taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, here are the five best golf movies of all time.

5. "The Legend of Bagger Vance"

Starring - Will Smith, Matt Damon, Charlize Theron

The book was better, but it was still a decent flick. The mythical movie gives viewers a couple of great scenes, like "Finding the field," and the above scene, about Damon's character (Rannulph Junuh) making a charge against Bobby Jones and Walter Hagan.

4. "The Greatest Game Ever Played"

Starring - Shia LaBeouf, Stephen Dillane, Peter Firth

Based on Francis Ouimet's stunning 1913 U.S. Open victory over Ted Ray and Harry Vardon at Brookline Country Club. Shia LaBeouf portrays Ouimet, who accomplishes the ultimate rags-to-riches moment. The win is considered the defining moment of bringing the game of golf to America.

3. "Tin Cup"

Starring - Kevin Costner, Rene Russo, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin

A fictional tale about a driving range pro named Roy McAvoy, played by Kevin Costner - who qualifies and almost wins the U.S. Open. McAvoy's go-for-broke attitude puts him in position for the victory, but also leads to an unbelievable loss - when he makes a 12 on the 72nd hole of the Open. In the end he does get the girl, so it's not a total loss.

2. "Happy Gilmore"

Starring - Adam Sandler, Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Carl Weathers

The "Happy Gilmore" swing is still used on every driving range and every golf course 21 years later. The movie is about a below-par hockey player, who joins the tour in attempt to win enough money to buy his grandmother's house back. A fight with Bob Barker and an underrated performance by Ben Stiller makes this still a classic to watch.

1. "Caddyshack"

Starring - Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, Michael O'Keefe, Bill Murray

The best of all time. It still stands up almost 40 years after its release, thanks to a stellar cast. Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) provides some of the funniest scenes, which may have been improvised, like the one above.
