The Buddy Hield Era in Sacramento has officially begun.
The rookie drove baseline and finished with a falling layup off the glass to record his first points in a Kings uniform. He headlined a package the team recently received from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for All-Star DeMarcus Cousins.
Kings owner Vivek Ranadive has coveted Hield for some time and was determined to acquire the 23-year-old shooting guard, who he reportedly believes has the potential to be as good as Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
The Bahamas native had 10 first-half points in 11 minutes off the bench.
