Deshaun Watson also jokingly asked Cowboys to trade up for him

At this point, the Cleveland Browns are used to being the butt of jokes. But from college athletes?

Add Deshaun Watson to the list of draft prospects playfully asking the Dallas Cowboys to trade for the Browns' No. 1 pick in order to draft them.

Top draft prospect Myles Garrett made a video for ESPN, imploring the Cowboys to trade quarterback Tony Romo and "take a couple picks" to send to the Browns for the right to draft him. The video was meant to be light in nature, as were Watson's recent comments at an award ceremony in Texas on Monday.

"The Browns do need a quarterback. You can trade both (Romo and Dak Prescott). I'm sitting right there. They need two," Watson said to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett who was in attendance, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Watson made those comments with a smile on his face, and he went on.

"I know y'all remember last year I said I like being in Fort Worth, Texas. I told y'all, I promised you, that I'll be back here. I told Coach Garrett that if I'm back here, you have to draft me," Watson said.

"Tony Romo is healthy. Dak, I'm a huge fan. I love that man. Got the privilege to get to know him this year and text him over the year. He's been successful. You fell in love with him. But I did my part. You have to do your part, man."

The Cowboys are not trading Prescott, so the comments were clearly made in jest.

Watson did, however, pass at a chance to be coached by Browns coach Hue Jackson at the Senior Bowl in January. The national championship-winning quarterback did tell Jackson that he skipped the event in order to focus on the draft process.
