It's been only a matter of months since David Ross hung up his cleats and retired from Major League Baseball after winning the second World Series of his career, this time with the Chicago Cubs.

And for one night only, fans of Grandpa Rossy who are missing the face of the former catcher, can catch a glimpse of the lovable character once again when he suits up for a different kind of appearance.

Ross tweeted a photo of himself dressed in a Harlem Globetrotters jersey on Wednesday, saying he's coming out of retirement for one night only on Mar. 1 in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Globetrotters are set to appear at the Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee that evening at 7:00 p.m. ET.
