Whatever works, right?

Many athletes, including pitchers, have abnormal warm-up routines and believe in unique superstitions that help with their perceived performance. Minnesota Twins reliever Ryan O'Rourke's routine is a little different, as the left-hander admitted he gets so psyched up for games that he throws up before every trip to the mound.

O'Rourke, who appeared in 26 games last season with the Twins, says that he voided his breadbasket before every single appearance last season but that he's been doing it since high school.

"I'm pretty pumped up out there. I think everything is culminating as I'm getting ready for my big moment, whether it's energy or what," he said, according to Cut4. "I like the competitive aspect. I think this is just a way for me to release a little bit of my nerves."

The 28-year-old was dominant against left-handed batters last year, limiting them to an outstanding .077/.167/.192 in 21 games and combined to a 1.18 WHIP on the season, so his vomiting might be working.
