Report: Russ' and KD's lockers separated by request at ASG

There is no end in sight for the NBA's pettiest melodrama between two brothers ruminating over going separate ways.

It was all smiles when Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook connected on a give-and-go sequence for the victorious West side at the All-Star Game on Sunday, but bad blood apparently still coursed beneath the surface.

For example, special requests were made to keep Durant's and Westbrook's cubbies on opposite sides of the locker room, reports ESPN's Royce Young. This minor oddity was documented by reporters who visited the West's locker room.

The same pattern played out over the entire weekend. Westbrook and Durant's media scrums were on opposite sides of the conference room. When Westbrook was quizzed about his relationship with his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate, the walking triple-double shifted gears into fashion talk without missing a beat. They avoided one another in the arena tunnels. Westbrook even practiced on the opposite side of the court away from the West team at shootaround before Sunday's showcase.

The West practice locker room was described as "painfully quiet and uncomfortable," Young adds.
