A statue of the celebrated gaffer will be commissioned and located at the club's Vicarage Road home in agreement with Taylor's family and the Watford Borough Council, the Hornets announced Friday.

In addition to that tribute, the Premier League side revealed the club will participate in an annual preseason friendly at Vicarage Road to celebrate "Watford's greatest-ever manager."

"Watford FC is pleased to confirm that it will engage with fans' representatives to ensure that supporters play a lead role alongside the club in bringing the statue to life," the club said in a statement. "Again, Graham's family are very supportive of these actions."

Taylor, 72, died in January of a suspected heart attack, and was eulogized with praise by former players and pundits alike for his influence on English football.

Taylor turned down a gig with top-tier West Brom to manage the Hornets, guiding the club from the fourth rung of English football to the top flight while tutoring the likes of finest-ever players such as Luther Blissett, Les Taylor, Ian Bolton, Ross Jenkins, and John Barnes.

Friday's tribute is just the latest accolade for Taylor. Former chairman Elton John and several clubs and players honoured him in advance of his funeral, which brought out the biggest names in British football.
