Louisiana HS coach won't let Alabama recruit on his campus

There's a belief in society that you can't climb to the top without making a few enemies along the way, and that appears to be the case with Nick Saban in regards to high school coach David Feaster.

Feaster, the head football coach at Parkway high school in Louisiana, publicly stated Wednesday on 104.5 ESPN that Alabama is not welcome on his campus for recruiting purposes because of what he feels is unethical practices, according to Mark Heim of AL.com.

"LSU's welcome in my school anytime," Feaster said. "The only school that can't come to Parkway is Alabama. And there's a long story behind that, but it had to do with not being ethical in their recruiting."

The issue stems from former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris and his recruitment by Alabama during his time at Parkway. Feaster was displeased with the committable offer from former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and then-wide receivers coach Billy Napier.

According to Feaster, Napier called him to set up a conference call with Saban, who then told Harris he had a scholarship. However, when Harris arrived at camp in June, he was put on the back burner in favor of other recruits.

"I don't want them (Alabama) on campus," Feaster said. "I don't want them making those kind of offers.

"I'm just not going to help Alabama recruit my guys."
