Brewers ink Nick Noonan to minor-league deal

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed shortstop Nick Noonan to a minor-league deal, the club announced Tuesday.

Noonan appeared in seven games for the San Diego Padres last season, slashing .167/.200/.167 in 20 plate appearances.

He made his big-league debut in 2013 with the San Francisco Giants, playing in 62 games and splitting time at second and third base as well as shortstop.

He owns a career .193/.239/.234 slash line.
