Mascherano (thigh) didn't make the 18-man squad for Saturday's match against Alaves, according to Marca.

Analysis:

Mascherano picked up his ailment during the Copa del Rey semifinal match against Atletico on Tuesday and will remain sidelined without a clear return date set yet. His absence could be a huge blow ahead of vital UCL clash with PSG next week. Gerard Pique is also sidelined and Samuel Umtiti and Jeremy Mathieu will have to anchor Blaugranas' defense versus Alaves.
