Australian golfer Steven Bowditch was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of extreme DUI, Scottsdale police confirmed to Fox 10.

The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. local time, when a another motorist called police about a white pickup truck swerving all over the road.

Police say they found Bowditch sitting at an intersection, where he failed to move through two green traffic lights. An officer had to wake up the 33-year-old before removing him from his truck, a police spokesman told azcentral.

Bowditch shot a 3-over-par 74 in the first round of the Phoenix Open, and did tee off Friday, but won't make the 36-hole cut.

An extreme DUI charge in the state of Arizona covers blood alcohol concentrations of .15 or more.

Bowditch has recorded two wins on the PGA Tour in his career.
