Sights from the wild 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale

Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports

At TPC Scottsdale, 17 holes are reminiscent of a traditional golf tournament. Then there's the par-3 16th.

The stadium setting is more comparable to a hostile sports arena than a quaint golf venue. Fans are loud, vocal, demanding, and intoxicated for the entire day.

Players do their best to get the crowd involved and create a truly unique atmosphere. Here are some of the best sights from No. 16 on Friday.

A little jab at Tiger Woods after his withdrawal in Dubai.

Bubba gave a fan a bag of Oakley gear.

Fans dressed for the occasion.

J.B. Holmes, a past champion, knocked it in from off the green.

This is Arizona State country.

Luke Donald, who makes his home just north of Chicago, handed out Cubs gear.

Mackenzie Hughes honored Scottsdale native Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Matthews took notice on Twitter.
