CM Punk isn't giving up on his MMA dreams.

Nearly five months after Mickey Gall made him look every bit the neophyte he is in his mixed martial arts debut at UFC 203, the former WWE superstar told FOX Sports' Carrlyn Bathe he's looking to get back in the saddle.

"I am working on it feverishly," Punk said, according to FOX Sports' Damon Martin. "I’m throwing names at (UFC president) Dana (White), opponents, dates. I don’t know if he’s waiting for a Chicago show or what the deal is but if it doesn’t happen in the UFC, it will happen somewhere else.

"I’m dedicated to fighting and training. We’ll get there."

White has remained mum on Punk's future with the promotion, although the former pro wrestler's name has been tossed around as the one active UFC fighter expected to join the still-to-be-announced cast of the upcoming season of "The Ultimate Fighter."

The 38-year-old Punk signed with the promotion in December 2014 and began honing his MMA chops at vaunted Milwaukee camp Roufusport before succumbing to a rear-naked choke just over two minutes into his debut.
