Report: Marlins, Braves showing interest in Francoeur

Jeff Francoeur's exes are blowing up his phone.

The Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves - the two teams he played for in 2016 - have engaged in talks with the veteran outfielder, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Francoeur was dealt from the Braves to the Marlins in late August in a three-team deal that involved the Texas Rangers.

The 33-year-old has 12 years of MLB service, and has spent time with eight different clubs since 2010. Last season, he slashed .254/.297/.378 with seven homers and 15 doubles over 125 games.

Both teams would use Francoeur in a backup role. The Braves already have Matt Kemp, Ender Inciarte, and Nick Markakis, while the Marlins have Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich, and Marcell Ozuna.
