Report: Spurs to sign Joel Anthony to 10-day contract

The San Antonio Spurs plan to sign free-agent center Joel Anthony to a 10-day contract, league sources tell The Vertical's Shams Charania.
The Spurs are currently dealing with a thin frontcourt with big man Pau Gasol out indefinitely with a broken finger, and could use Anthony's defensive presence in the coming weeks.
Anthony played in 19 games with the Detroit Pistons last season, averaging just 0.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in 19 games.
San Antonio's roster currently sits at just 14 players, having waived little-used guard Nicolas Laprovittola back in December.
