Ricky Williams stopped, searched by police while taking walk

Former NFL running back Ricky Williams was recently stopped, searched, and questioned by police in Tyler, Texas, who were responding to a report of suspicious activity.

Williams told police he was out for a walk in a wooded area before attending an event with fellow former NFLer Earl Campbell. An officer accused him of entering someone's back yard.

"Why would I be in someone's backyard?" Williams is heard asking in the dash-cam video. "You might've saw a black person and got suspicious, but I wasn't doing anything."

In an interview on KLBJ's "The Dudley & Bob + Matt Show" earlier this week, admitted marijuana-user Williams said he's glad he didn't have any drugs on him at the time.

"I was not (carrying drugs) ... thank goodness I didn't have anything on me otherwise the story would be very different."
