Myles Davis' career at Xavier is over, as the senior guard announced Friday that he's leaving the program.

"I would like to thank everyone and Xavier for allowing me to play basketball and get my degree, but my family and I have decided that it's time for me to move on from Xavier and start a new chapter in my life," Davis wrote on Twitter. "Want to say thank you to everyone who's supported me and believed in me. Wish my teammates the best of luck the rest of the season. Thank you."

Davis was suspended for the first 15 games of the season for failing to meet expectations of the program after he was charged following an alleged incident with his girlfriend.

In his three games since coming off suspension, Davis has played just 34 minutes and scored a total of two points.

It's a sharp dropoff from his previous two seasons with the Musketeers, as Davis averaged 10.6 and 10.8 points, respectively. Xavier is 13-2 on the season without him in their lineup, but 0-3 since his return.

The Musketeers face Georgetown this Sunday in Big East play.
