Report: Redskins to interview Dennis Thurman for DC vacancy

Dennis Schneidler / USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Redskins will interview Dennis Thurman for their vacant defensive coordinator position Friday, two sources told Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

Thurman spent the last two seasons leading the Buffalo Bills' defense and has coached in the NFL since 2002.

The Redskins are also scheduled to meet with San Francisco 49ers outside linebackers coach Jason Tarver for the position, reports ESPN's Adam Caplan.

Rob Ryan and Greg Manusky have already met about joining head coach Jay Gruden's staff.
