Report: Steelers' Brown pouted after Williams TD

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

Antonio Brown is one of the veteran players on the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense, but apparently he didn't act like it during a portion of Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, reports Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network.

After running back DeAngelo Williams scored the Steelers' first touchdown early against the Patriots, Kinkhabwala saw Brown pouting while the rest of his teammates celebrated the score. The star wide receiver appeared to be open in the back of the end zone on the play prior and was reportedly upset coming off the field that Ben Roethlisberger opted not to throw it to him.

Roethlisberger was forced to talk to Brown on the sidelines after the play, wasting time that, Kinkhabwala notes, should have been spent game planning.

Kinkhabwala adds that this type of reaction from Brown is "nothing new." A year ago, head coach Mike Tomlin was reportedly forced to talk to the pass-catcher about chasing statistics over the good of the team and told him his focus should be on winning championships.

Brown's behavior Sunday comes on the heels of an embarrassing incident for Pittsburgh in which he broadcast the team's locker room on Facebook for over 17 minutes after the win in the divisional round, capturing head coach Tomlin calling the Patriots "assholes."

Brown reportedly has a six-figure marketing deal with Facebook and was directed by the social media behemoth to post the video. The Steelers fined him $10,000 for his actions, and Tomlin labelled him "selfish."

Pittsburgh transitioned to a run-first offense this season with the return of Le'Veon Bell, causing Brown's regular-season numbers to dip. His 106 catches and 1,284 yards were his lowest marks since 2012.
