After capping a magical 2016 season with a dramatic come-from-behind victory in the Rose Bowl, USC will get no favors from its 2017 schedule.

For the first time since 1995, the Trojans will fail to have a bye week during their schedule. Most teams will finish their seasons on Nov. 25, while USC will instead finish on Nov. 18 when it hosts rival UCLA.

As a College Football Playoff contender, not playing on the final weekend of the regular season could prove costly.

If USC is tied in the Pac-12 South and fails to earn a berth into the conference championship game, the Trojans won't be on TV or play any games for two straight weeks - after which the CFP committee will select the four playoff participants.

Ohio State didn't qualify for the Big Ten Championship game this season, however it defeated Michigan in the final game of the campaign, keeping the Buckeyes above conference champion Penn State, which defeated Wisconsin a week later in the title game.
