The San Francisco 49ers appear to be closing in on solidifying their next leadership regime.

Already reportedly set to offer Kyle Shanahan their head coaching job, the 49ers will soon have a trio of general manager candidates back for second interviews, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The group reportedly scheduled for the next round of meetings includes Green Bay Packers executives Eliot Wolf and Brian Gutekunst, as well as George Paton of the Minnesota Vikings.

Confirming the club has narrowed its candidate list, the 49ers announced Wednesday that those who won't be included in the next stage of interviews have been notified.

With San Francisco seemingly set on its next head coach, the next round of GM interviews are being carried out to determine which executive is the best fit at his side.

The candidates will be invited to Atlanta next week to interview along with Shanahan, a source told Tom Pelissero of USA Today.
