4-star DE Ryan Johnson commits to Stanford

Stanford added four-star defensive end Ryan Johnson to its 2017 recruiting class after Johnson announced his commitment to the Cardinal via Twitter on Monday night.
The Mobile, Ala., native is ranked 167th in the ESPN 300 and is the 14th-best defensive end in the class of 2017. Johnson becomes Stanford's No. 7 recruit for the class in the process.
Johnson picked Stanford over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, and Texas, and gives the Cardinal its ninth ESPN 300 commit.
