Watch: Warriors break ground on new SF arena in the weirdest way possible

Construction is officially underway on a new arena for the Golden State Warriors in downtown San Francisco after the proposal cleared several legal hurdles.

The Warriors held a ceremony to commemorate breaking ground on what will eventually be the Chase Center. But this wasn't the boring routine that features developers in expensive suits cutely carrying a spade, this is the "light-years ahead" Warriors after all.

That meant in addition to the customary shovels photo op, the Warriors also put together an over-the-top song and dance with construction workers and machines.

Surely the citizens of Oakland, who trekked to the Oracle through decades of lean years, only for the franchise to move after becoming the league's hottest commodity, share this same enthusiasm.
