Poll: Did the Blue Jays make the right move by bringing back Bautista?

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The back-and-forth negotiations between the Toronto Blue Jays and free-agent slugger Jose Bautista ended Tuesday when the two sides came to an agreement on a one-year deal.

Financial details haven't yet been revealed, but, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, it exceeds the $17.2-million qualifying offer he rejected in November, and reportedly contains a pair of mutual options that could keep "Joey Bats" in Toronto until 2019.

Since his arrival in 2008, the 36-year-old Dominican has belted 265 home runs - including one of the most historic in franchise history - while becoming one of the most heralded players the team has ever employed.

Did the Blue Jays make the right move by bringing back Bautista? Or could the team's front office have used the resources differently?
